About Reach Out Musicial Theatre 

Reach Out Musical Theatre was originally founded in 2019 by Mark West and John Kear under the name Chingford Theatre Productions. The company staged its first pantomime at South Chingford Community Library in November 2024. Following the production, the group took a break as membership declined and many members had other commitments.

In March 2026, the company was relaunched as Reach Out Musical Theatre with a renewed vision of creating an inclusive, welcoming, and inspiring community theatre group where people can come together through a shared love of the performing arts.

Today, Reach Out Musical Theatre is passionate about producing high-quality theatre through acting, music, and dance. We are committed to creating productions that not only entertain audiences but also educate, inspire, and celebrate the magic and power of live performance.

We provide opportunities for local performers of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to develop their confidence, creativity, and stage skills in a friendly, supportive, and encouraging environment. We believe that theatre should be accessible to everyone and that every member has something valuable to contribute, whether performing on stage, helping behind the scenes, or supporting our productions in other ways.

Our productions range from original works and contemporary plays to classic favourites, pantomimes, and full-scale musical theatre. Every performance is carefully crafted to deliver memorable experiences for both our cast and our audiences, while promoting teamwork, confidence, creativity, and community spirit.

Our Vision for the Future

Our long-term ambition is to take the magic of musical theatre beyond the traditional stage and into the heart of the community. We aim to work throughout the London Borough of Waltham Forest by performing in community centres, schools, libraries, care homes, festivals, local events, and other community venues.

Through outreach performances, interactive workshops, and educational projects, we want to make theatre accessible to everyone, particularly those who may not otherwise have the opportunity to experience live performance. We believe musical theatre has the power to build confidence, encourage creativity, improve wellbeing, and bring people together regardless of age or background.

As Reach Out Musical Theatre continues to grow, we hope to build lasting partnerships with schools, community organisations, charities, festivals, and local businesses, creating opportunities for people of all ages to discover, participate in, and enjoy the performing arts.
